So I though I'd share my winter progress thus far, its only been uninsured for about a month now, but I instantly began doing work.. Firstly I sold my wheels and tires, wasn't happy with the sizing. Scraped on big highway bumps which drove me insane. Bye bye
I then decided to upgrade the brakes. I previously had 12.75" 350z rotors with a CZP bracket that utilized the stock capiler. The brakes were fine, but I wanted more stopping power so I went these these
1st Gen OEM CTS-V 4 pot brembos, they make the stock caliper look cute..
For those curious, these are CHEAP. Each OEM Brembo was about $120 brand new, OEM pads were $80 or so, bracket was $150, and you need to run 240sx banjo style brake lines, which were $50. The pin kit was about $15. I could've reused my old rotors, but I decided to get new ones as well.
Mounted with some wheels and tires. Decided to go black this time around. At first I wasn't so sure, but the more I look at it the more it grew on me. I think the wheels will really compliment the TwinZ V2 bumper/diffuser I will be buying soon.
The brakes are much better right off the bat. I need to bleed them a bit better though, a bit too soft right now, so once I do that I'm sure they will be even better. That's when I'll give a full review of them. Gave her a bath, and away she went for the winter. I bring it out on those cool sunny days since the turbo's need to play..
